Sure, wealth is necessary to live. What is the point of going through life without worldly comforts and living in consequent pain, misery or deprivation? All these make life unhappy. Would you rather spend your life unhappily or happily? I bet I know your answer. But should the pursuit of wealth be your be-all and end-all? Is that all there is to life?  (Reminder: I am not saying that the pursuit of wealth, aka “material things”, is unimportant and that you should live in a monastery) …Now pause for a moment and take a deep breath…I hate to bring this up, but one of these days you will be dying (so will I, if that is any consolation). I hope you have rehearsed that event… I mean you should have imagined what your experience of dying will be like.Well, have you? If not, do it now (remember, it is only a rehearsal… there is nothing to fear). If you had spent your entire life chasing wealth, would you, in your final moments, feel it was a life well spent?? Probably not. You would say to  yourself, “I am dying…I am going away from all those possessions, as well as my family and friend… what is going to happen to me now?”… why didn’t I think about this moment during my lifetime, why did I spend all my time thinking about acquiring possessions… oh my God, where am I going, what is going to happen to me …. (eternal silence follows)If during your lifetime you had: •    made yourself materially comfortable (nice house, transportation, clothes, food, healthcare)•    enjoyed harmless pleasures of the senses•    cared for your loved ones: been kind and encouraging to your partners, children, parents and all others whom you had significant interaction with    •    done a lot of good to other living beings (including other animals)    •    come to terms with the meaning of life and of death     •    spent the majority of your life without stress, anxiety and worry,    would you, in your final moments, feel comfortable?? You most probably would.Clearly the second scenario is preferable, and you cannot wait until your last days to make it happen. You have to start making it happen NOW.Begin by spending ten minutes a day reading what various happiness and inner peace coaches say, and study more of whosever teaching you find most compatible. Move to another teacher if you do not see results in a few months. Rinse and repeat until you find a path that delivers the outcome you want.Remember: Happiness is your birthright and is built into you; persevere in your search for it and you will definitely find it, as thousands of others have!

Somdej Toh Chinnabanchon

With English lyrics. For easy learning

The amulet is a charm that is generally known for its power to protect from danger. It is an ornament that may be used as a pendant or like charm objects that hang from necklaces

They may come in the form of statues, coins, rings. Some are also like chants in Sanskrit and Pali embroidered on tapestries. Anything of the sort is a potential amulet and can be used as a charm to ward off evil from your home and your life.

About amulets

Amulets being a very cultural religious concept differ from culture to culture, country to country and religion to religion. Different cultures have their own amulets and they are more popular among pagan cultures than others. In ancient Rome, images of pagan gods on gemstones, like amethyst, ruby, emerald was a charm to ward off evil. In China and Japan, fulu, a style of calligraphy was used. In Christianity for instance, the crucifix is one of the amulets. It is worn by Christians around the world in the form of pendants and bracelets or carried as the rosary Scapulars and the holy water to qualify.

Types of Laos amulets

Black magic voodoo and keeping of amulets and charms are a big part of the culture of south Asia. Laos amulets in particular are known to be a big part of the culture and customs. Vietnamese amulets are broadly of four types. The first is the khurang rang. They are mostly the potent objects available naturally like certain ores and rare seeds amongst others. This is mostly worn by poorer people and thereby comparatively more popular as well. The second type is the phra khruang. This is the image of the Buddha in a pendant or tablet shaped charms or sometimes even a small statue in metal or clay. This is among the most popular ones that claim to protect the entire household from evil and curse. The third is a kuryung pul sek, they are spells or incantations. The fourth is a wan ya, the use of plants and root to create medicines. It is the art of communicating with spirits.

Antique shops in Laos store a variety of amulets ranging from the Buddha charms to lord Vishnu and the Trishula. The Garuda Khmer dagger is a dagger with intricate patterns made on it. Generally in clay this amulet is meant to be carried along. Meed Mor magical knife is available in quite a few variants in design. While one is shaped like a serpent, another looks like a regular knife. Another type of amulets includes the Buddha structures. Phra kru lopburi thai seated Buddha is the most traditional structure of the Buddha. This is available in the form of statues or charms and pendants known for its property to ward off evil. The Lord Vishnu amulet bangle and the sudarshana chakra are also among these. Generally, amulets are little replicas of those instruments that offer self defense like knives and daggers and knuckles. Other than these, they are idols of Gods and pendants or tiny rings that have chants engraved. When you have a power you believe in close to youFree Web Content, a feeling of being able to overcome evil comes naturally. This is what the amulet does.

There is no denying that all over the world there exists a fascination for the Buddhist religion. From having the Laughing Buddha inside your home to trying to bring the good “chi” inside the house, people have tried and done it all

On that note, let us take a look at one of the most favourite antique Buddhist element of all – the Thai Buddha amulet, the many types of it and all of the meanings associated with those spiritual and holy amulets.

There are five primary kinds of Buddhist amulets – the Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang, the Phra Rod, the Phra Nang Phaya, the Phra Phong Suphan and the Phra Sum Kor which are together called BenjaPhakhi. Every single one of the Thai Buddhist amulet is produce. d in sacred or holy temples by holy priests and each of them are blessed. The costs of these amulets are based on their ages, materials used and the priest that has made them. For instance, an amulet which is made recently will obviously cost less than the one which has been made a long time ago by someone who is at a higher standing rank as a priest.

The Phra Somdej, one of the most prized antique amulets to exist, is supposed to bring the wearer luck and good fortune. It is also a common Buddhist practice to have a Buddhist amulet at the base of any monastery or stupa. This is evident in the discovery of the Phra Rod amulet, the name of which came from it being found inside a partially broken old stupa in Wat Mahawan during the first half of the time of King Chulalongkorn. The Phra Nang Phaya, on the other hand, was found when some people tried to dig a piece of land in order to set up for the appearance of King Chulalongkorn. On the other hand, the story surrounding the Phra Phong Suphan amulet is a little different. Apparently, some local robbers had come to loot under the Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat. Then, the government ordered that an official digging be carried out in order to see what was lost and what remained, and that is how the Phra Phong Suphan was discovered. Finally, the Phra Sum Kor, which were found at Wat Phraboromthat Nakhonchum by Somdej Toh along with a bunch of ancient tablets that explained the processes of how amulets were made.

The primary use of the Thai Buddhist amulet, antique or not, is spiritual healing, finding peace and praying to the Lord Buddha. This means that one cannot or rather, should not use the Thai Buddhist amulets as a fashion entity. One of the basic rules of wearing the Thai amulet is to wash your hands thoroughly before wearing it and before taking it off. While wearing it, you can recite any mantra that helps you find peace, the most common Thai mantra being “Namo tassa bhagavato arahato samma sam buddha ssa”.

Unfortunately, a lot of times, people are diverted from the original purposes of amulets, and as a result of this, often sell fake amulets, especially to foreign tourists. There exists, not particular way of separating them from the originals. ThusFree Reprint Articles, the best way is to take with you someone who has had an experience wearing amulets at some point in their lives.

What does it take to be successful? What is success? How can I get there?

The best answer to the question of what is success is from Og Mandino: ” Success is meeting your goals.”

The answer to what it takes to be successful and how to get there is a bit longer: Success happens at that special intersection of passion, commitment, talent and persistence. Think of those four as separate paths that flow into one path – one powerful path that leads to success – in it’s infinite variety.. It’s a special place, that path.

That special path is different for each of us. It has to be – everyone of us is so special and different in every one of those four requirements. But we all have the capacity to arrive at our own intersection – again and again. What an exciting thought – that each of us can combine and align our special attributes in such a way to be successful – as we choose to define success.

It’s sad that so many people have had experiences that have taught them to be safe, to stay on the sidelines and watch, to hold their passions and commitments in check, to see how the wind blows. What an enormous waste of resources,on a personal level and on every other level. Those are the people that are the subject of Henry David Thoreau’s statement: ” The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.”

It doesn’t have to be that way.

The idea that there is the potential to exceed anything yet accomplished through a process of self discovery, discipline, commitment and passion is really exciting – and scary. What’s really scary is that it lies within each of our capabilities to grow and reach that intersection and do it again and again in our lives. We can do it at any age, under any circumstance, at any stage – and it’s not magic, it’s not a silver bullet, it’s not limited in any way.

Let’s walk down each of these four paths and see how we can get them to join together to create a level of success greater than any yet experienced.

Passion is the first path for a reason. It’s the emotion that leads to commitment. It’s the feeling that comes from the heart and provides us with the strength to dedicate ourselves to people, places, things, ideas, processes. It’s often the most difficult path to find, but once found, it can be the most sustaining and exciting. Passion is excitement, passion is enthusiasm. It’s curiosity, it’s wanting to share, it’s that spark that lights the fire that leads to commitment. The path of passion runs very close to the path of commitment – their intersection is vital to creating the foundation for success.

Commitment comes in many forms. The qualities of commitment that we are looking for start with positiveness; the conviction that we are committing to a worthy cause; the belief that what we commit to will result in a positive outcome, and will improve our life and the lives of others. There is no place on our path for negative, destructive commitment. Positive commitment sustains, negative commitment corrodes and destroys. Commitment requires that special feeling of being part of something bigger than self. If there is a single tipping point on the path to success, it is when that feeling of total commitment occurs – when, as Goethe wrote:

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.

Concerning all acts of initiative there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and endless plans: That at the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves, too.

All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would come his way.

Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.”

Talent is the path where the rubber meets the road – where things can be done – where action to create success occurs. The belief that anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it may be true at one level, but at the practical level of creating success, it hinders more than it helps. An example: without good eye hand coordination and excellent depth perception, no one is going to be a major league baseball player – nobody. They don’t have a piece of the puzzle – the talent – that is critical to success. If they persist in trying to a be a major league ball player, they’re wasting their time. Some people learn that lesson the hard way. “Experience may be the best teacher, but only fools can learn by no other” is a harsh reality. Others find out what they are good at, and pursue success from that more powerful place. You can have a passion for and a commitment to baseball, you can manifest that passion and commitment as a spectator, as a sportscaster, as a grounds keeper, as a General Manager or a players agent, or as an employee of the team, but as a player – not. The talent has to be there to be successful.

The good news – and it is really good news – is that talent requirements can be identified, talents already present can be identified, and, in many cases, talents that need to be developed can be – it’s exciting. Even more exciting is discovering a passion and a commitment that fits with your unique blend of talents – now that’s special. Whether it’s through experience, failures, successes, self discovery, or tools to help define requirements and capabilities, this is where the engine of success resides – in the talent to drive that passion and commitment.

And then Persistence, the centerline that keeps the forces generated in the paths of Passion, Commitment and Talent moving toward success. I have a framed saying from Ralph Waldo Emerson that I keep within eyesight . It’s a powerful message:

“Press On

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not: unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

Passion, leading to Commitment, fueled by Talent, and Directed by Persistence – the formula for success. And in this time of uncertainty and bad news, it’s so important to find or rediscover our passions and commit or recommit to them, develop the talent – the skills and abilities and motivators we need to make them happen – and then persist in meeting our goals.

That’s the package. Now’s the time. It’s not easy – but it’s worth it – in so many ways. Have a great 2009, and the best of success to you.

In today’s
jet edge, human beings often than not, are subjected to anxiety and stress.

One of the great things about yoga postures is that single poses have several
variations to them, which permit both beginners and advanced yogis to practice
at a level appropriate to their ability.
Yoga postures, not just help stretch the back, but in fact there are
also many effective poses to help strengthen it.

Yoga postures are best done either first thing as you wake up in the morning or
last thing at night. If it is done early in the morning, then the mind and body
will be re-energized, ready for the day. If it is done late at night, then it
will assist in helping you get a good night’s sleep. However, it can really be
done at any time that is suitable.

The many diverse poses ensure that every part of the body is worked and
stretched for a complete and effective workout routine.

Many asanas or yoga postures apply pressure on a certain area of the body,
restricting the blood flow to that area. When the Asana is relaxed, fresh blood
rushes in to re-oxygenate the deprived area. This pattern of constraint and
re-oxygenation adjusts the body over time to make the lungs more capable and
the blood more oxygenated in daily life as well as in the studio.

not wish to detach yourself from sports at any point in your house, then sports
bedding and sheets are an option that you should consider. What you need is

Purchasing a Thai love amulet that’s authentic and blessed from an online website is really a puzzle. How can you possibly know which of Thai amulets tend to be genuine and which one fake?

Can you really tell if the amulet you are looking at on a Thai website is the real deal? Are there any tips you can follow to boost your probability of success?

Below are a few tips you need to use to simply decipher if the Thai love amulet you are about to get is a genuine from a Theravada Buddhist temple in Thailand – or, a phony worth several pennies since they are made and distributed in tremendous numbers.

Thai Amulet Buying Tips – What does not work?

Photos. Not only will photos be faked, however, having lived within Thailand for all 5 years now I will inform you that when looking at thai amulets a half inch on their surface with a new jeweler’s loupe, it is often impossible for me to tell if the amulet is really a fake or genuine. Photos are worthless when trying to assess the worthiness of the amulet being represented.

Materials the amulet is made of make no big difference at all with regards to whether or not it is really a fake amulet. Gold, pewter, bone, silver, bronze, clay, brass, wood, stainless steel, birdwatcher, cheap, container, ivory – I think I have seen amulets of every type of material on the earth. Each one of them can be faked easily.

The issue is, faking Thai amulet genuineness is a straightforward and simple task. Not many experts can bound to every forged amulet, consequently other criteria’s must be used under consideration to assess a new fraudulent claim of genuineness. The following are tips that you need to use as tips to help you decide whether the seller is authentic or perhaps not. These do have more related to observing the seller than any kind of truth analysis of the amulets he or she is selling.

Does the owner reside in Thailand? The vendor of authentic Thai amulets is probably still living in Thailand. You are able to almost immediately bud out anyone not physically moving into Thailand at the present time. In case your amulets aren’t transported from Thailand, there’s a straight better chance you are not getting legitimate products.

Does the seller of the amulet sell publicly or if it appear that the seller is merely listing the amulets that others might share in their beauty by purchasing them? Thai amulet sellers are often times in the business for several simple and honest reasons. The first reason is – they are Buddhist and want to share the amulets having other Buddhists all around the world. The amulets aren’t expensive, and there are not outrageous claims concerning the magical powers of the amulets.

Does the Seller Try to Sell You in Emotion? MeaningArticle Submission, is the amulet seller trying to get you very rational about having to get this amulet to get you happy or realize a fortune of good luck? This is usually not the way legitimate Buddhist amulet sellers do business.

There are numerous Thai amulets sold each day online. A high number of those amulets are non-genuine amulets in addition to generally worthless.

You may be practising the most powerful goal setting, positive thinking, affirmation or creative visualization technique ever, but without faith in the method and faith in the truth that you really can change your life, it is all useless.

What do you believe about yourself? What are some of the beliefs that you hold, whether consciously or not, concerning or against yourself?

I’m sure there are some good ones and some undesirable ones.

Any belief you have can either push you towards – or obstruct you from – your goals.

What do you want to believe about yourself? What are some of the beliefs that you want to have concerning yourself?

Write these beliefs down in the form of statements resembling traditional affirmations, such as, “I am consistently taking appropriate actions that are aimed at improving myself daily”.

We’re going to work on each of these beliefs that you want to install one by one. Choose one from your list, the belief which you feel is one that you most need right now.

Make sure you choose something which is relatively believable now, than something which is far out too inconceivable (like “I believe I can fly by flapping my arms”).

Next, check that you really, truly, deeply want to install this belief into your subconscious mind. Employ the relentless effective questioning technique. Use every imaginable question to sort of “interrogate” yourself why, why, why you wish to install this belief.

Ask -

Why do I want to believe in this belief?

How can I believe in this belief?

What if I am already believing in this belief?

Do I really want to believe in this belief?

If “Yes”, continue. If “No”, go back and refine this belief you want to install. Or choose another from that list.

Next, check that this belief you choose can integrate with your current value system, without contradicting any beliefs you may currently hold.

You may not need to make your belief conform 100% to your system, as some beliefs are true some of the time, and not true the rest of the time. That’s normal.

The effective questions to ask yourself are -

Does this belief contradict any other beliefs I currently hold?

Can this belief provide for me the kind of emotion I need?

How does this belief help me to move forward, even accelerate, in the attainment of my worthy goals?

What must I risk, let go or sacrifice if I choose to believe in this belief right now?

Is this belief appropriate in the context it is applied to?

What are the implications, whether positive or negative, of me installing this belief in my system?

If you find that after asking yourself these questions you are still comfortable with this belief, move on to the successive step of installing it!

To install this belief, you need a 2-phase process of clearing and filling, very much like emptying a tank of old water, and then filling the tank with fresh, clean water.

The clearing phase of the belief installation technique consists of the following questions to ask yourself -

Are there any objections, conscious or not, to this belief at all?

What are the objections, counter-arguments, contradictory statements or conflicting beliefs that may prevent me from attaining the effectiveness I need when installing the desired belief into my system?

What are the blocks that I hold in my mind that may undermine this belief’s effectiveness?

What are the editor’s objections to this belief I am introducing?

Can I find any specific events that counter-prove the conflicting belief (not the belief that you want to install)?

When have I found that this blocking belief (not the belief that you want to install) does not prove true in my life?

How many times has this happened (referring to the above question)?

Why is this objecting statement not true at all? How is this objecting statement not true? Is it even true 100% of the time? If it is true only for less than 50% of the time, can I consider it a valid statement of truth that I should believe in?

What are the chances of this conflicting belief proving true in real life? If it only proved true for less than 50% of the time, or not at all (0%), will I then still consider it valid? Or would I deem it null and void?

How can I reduce the chances of or even prevent from this conflicting belief to present its ugly head in real life?

If something that counters the belief that I want to install does happen, what will I do to remedy the situation? How can I evade it in the first place?

After the clearing phase, comes the filling phase. Think through each of the above questions deeply, taking a considerable amount of time if possible.

Add more questions of your own more or less resembling those I wrote above. It doesn’t matter if you’re actually asking yourself the same questions over and over again.

Ask these “filling” questions -

What will I gain if I believe in this belief?

What will I lose if I do not believe in this belief?

How will I feel when I am believing in this belief?

What will I be like when I am believing in this belief?

What will my world be like when I am believing in this belief?

What will I be saying to myself when I am believing in this belief?

How soon am I able to fully believe in this belief?

How do I know I am truly and deeply believing in this belief?

How is this belief true?

What are the evidences, proofs and testimonies that prove this belief true?

What are the logical reasons for this belief to be true?

What are the emotional reasons for this belief to be true?

Does this belief “just feel right” for me?

Do I now realise that just believing in this belief gives me a certain kind of excitement or emotional upliftment?

What events have happened in my past that may prove that the belief is true?

How can I recreate the conditions that have caused that event (mentioned above) to occur so that I can effect another similar, more powerful result that will in turn strengthen my belief in this belief?

Again, in addition to the questions I crafted above, write down your own, even if it’s more or less similar to mine.

The above processes of asking questions, thinking about them, and answering them, can all be done on pen and paper, or simply in your mind, while in a quietHealth Fitness Articles, focused and relaxed state of mind.

Well, one of the most common and easiest problems to fix is
Be it in your business, yourself, your product,
in dealing with people, whatever,
it can be a HUGE wall blocking your way to succeeding!

-How can that be?
-What could that possibly have to do with success?

Consider these examples:

Have you ever held yourself back from;
*Writing an article for publishing?
*How about that award you almost submitted for, but thought your
site was not good enough?
*What could be holding you back from trying to
design your own webpage or graphics?

You may have an adequate knowledge to accomplish these things
and more, but lack the confidence to proceed with the benefiting action.
(Just look at what confidence did for that certain naked survivor from the
first Survivor show! It helped him win a million dollars!)

When you have a Internet or home-based business,
of course you are very proud of what you accomplish,
but what happens when it comes to telling others about it?
There is a certain stigma that comes with having this type of business.
People react one of two ways.
It’s either- “Tell me more about it, I want to
do that too!” OR “Oh, do you make any money that way?”

Just because you don’t have a big office in a big corporate building
does not mean that you do not have a reason to be confident.
But fear of rejection can cause you to be hesitant to tell people
what it is that you do.
It is so common that people close to you will tell people,
“I am not sure exactly what it is all about.”
This can kill any confidence you may have.

I’m sure you are asking,
-What can I do?
-Where can I get this great key to success?”

Of course, confidence comes from within.
We HAVE to constantly battle our thoughts.
One way to find confidence in what you do is by identifying the
whole problem. Once you realize that you are better at what you do then you
think, you will find ways to reach out to learn more, to try more, and to
take more chances. You have to be convinced that
“what you do and how you do it”
is the best thing next to sliced bread.

You must also put effort into being more then confident when you tell others
about your business. If you aren’t exactly sure what your title would be,
or what words to use to describe your business, then why not do a little
footwork. Surf around the internet and see what terminology is the most
impressive for what you do. That way you have no reason to even THINK that
you need to be less then confident in what you have worked so hard to build.
You must reflect confidence for others to think highly of your business.

When it comes to taking your business in a different direction, if you can
jump into anything with both feet, that is great! But, if you have to test
the waters first, at least you ARE testing them. If you keep the momentum
going forward instead of standing still, then you will eventually get to
where you want to go, all because of confidence!
